Prayagraj. The history sheet of lawyer Khan Saulat Hanif, who was a confidant of mafia Atiq, and notorious robber Arvind Bhartiya has been opened. Dhoomanganj police has opened B-category history sheet of both of them, which will keep them under lifelong surveillance. This action has tightened the legal grip on Khan Saulat. Even after he comes out of prison, the police will keep an eye on his activities and knock on his door.
Lawyer Khan Saulat Hanif, a resident of Pritam Nagar Mohalla of Dhoomanganj police station area, used to plead the cases of mafia Atiq and people associated with his gang. He also accompanied the mafia in many incidents. A total of four cases are registered against him. Khan Saulat has been sentenced to life imprisonment in the case of kidnapping of Umesh Pal, a witness of BSP MLA Raju Pal murder case. At present, he is imprisoned in Central Jail Naini.

The police say that the trial of three of the four cases registered against Khan Saulat is going on, while he has been sentenced to life imprisonment with hard labour in the kidnapping case. Khan Saulat has also been made an accused in the Umesh Pal murder case. He is accused of providing Umesh Pal’s picture to the shooters and informing them. At the same time, several cases of robbery, snatching and assault have been registered against Arvind Bhartiya, a resident of Ramman Ka Purwa in Dhoomanganj police station area.
Dhoomanganj police said that the history sheet number of Saulat Hanif is B-62 and that of Arvind is B-61. Arvind Bhartiya is out of jail. After the history sheet is opened, the police will monitor both of them for life.
