8th accused caught from Pratapgarh
Let us tell you that these accused, who lured a coaching student in Kanpur to play an online game and gave him Rs 20 thousand, wanted to recover an amount of Rs 2.5 lakh from him after he lost the game. After the student expressed his inability to pay the money, the accused held him hostage in a room and not only brutally assaulted him but also made an obscene video of him.
When the accused were not satisfied with this, they stripped the minor student and tied a brick to his private parts and made a video of it and made it viral on social media. The accused who made the video was arrested by the police on Friday itself.
Four accused still absconding
After the video went viral, an FIR was registered at Kakadev police station in Kanpur and after that the police started arresting all the accused one by one. Police have made a total of 12 boys accused in this case, out of which 8 have been arrested and four are yet to be arrested.
The police had already arrested 6 people along with the main accused of this incident, Tanay Chaurasia, after which one more accused was arrested who was a minor. He was arrested from Auraiya. The name of the 8th accused is Anuj Verma who was hiding in Sangipur, Pratapgarh. The police have arrested him through surveillance.
No one will be spared: DCP
In this case, DCP RS Gautam says that till now eight accused have been arrested, now four are left who are hiding in different districts of Uttar Pradesh. A team has been formed to arrest everyone, no one has been arrested. Will be spared.
