Tata Group is likely to remain the title sponsor of IPL for the next five years. Tata Sons has bid Rs 500 crore per year i.e. a total of Rs 2500 crore for the title sponsorship of IPL 2024 to 2028. His bid is matching with the bid of Aditya Birla Group. In such a situation, it is understood that Tata Group will continue to be the title sponsor of this biggest cricket league in the world.
On December 12 last year, BCCI had issued a tender for this sponsorship. On January 14, Aditya Birla Group had bid Rs 2500 crore for it. Now on Friday evening the news came that Tata Group itself has decided to put the same amount at stake.
Why did title sponsor prices increase?
Tata Group has been the sponsor of IPL for the last two years. Tata paid Rs 670 crore to BCCI for sponsorship in IPL 2022 and 2023. Now this amount has increased for IPL. The main reason for this is not only the increasing craze of IPL, but also the increase in the number of IPL matches in the coming seasons. There will be a total of 74 matches in IPL 2024. After this, BCCI plans to increase it to 84 in IPL 2025 and then to 94 from IPL 2026.
When will the next season of IPL start?
The next season of IPL is likely to start from March 21. This tournament can continue till 26th May. Just before this, the Women’s Premier League is also to be organised. For this, there is news of a window from mid-February to March 10. Despite the Lok Sabha elections, this time IPL is likely to be played in India only.
