A massive fire broke out in a truck carrying gas cylinders on the Lucknow-Gonda highway on Friday morning. After this, explosions started in the cylinders loaded in the truck. The cylinders fell about half a kilometer away. The explosion in the gas cylinder shook the entire surrounding area. As soon as information about the incident was received, two fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and started extinguishing the fire. The team did not dare to go near due to the continuous explosions in the gas cylinder. Due to the accident, traffic on Lucknow Highway has been completely stopped.
The accident occurred at around 9 am on the Gonda-Lucknow highway. Additional SP Radheshyam Rai said that a truck loaded with gas cylinders was coming towards Gonda. The engine of a truck caught fire near Bhabua on Lucknow Highway. The driver and cleaner tried to extinguish the fire but did not succeed. Meanwhile, the fire engulfed the entire truck. The entire truck started burning. The gas cylinders surrounded by flames also started burning. This created chaos on the spot. As soon as the information was received, the police stopped vehicular traffic on the Lucknow Highway. Two fire tenders are busy controlling the fire on the spot. Additional SP Radheshyam Rai said that at present there is no information about any casualty in the incident. More vehicles have been called to the spot to control the fire.
