Noida. The body of a woman was found hanging on a tree on Monday morning in the green belt outside village Garhi Chaukhandi of Kotwali Phase-3 area. When the people of the village passed by in the morning, they saw the dead body. He immediately informed the police. The woman has been identified as Mamta Kumari of Hardoi. In the initial investigation, the police is considering it as a case of suicide. Also, the body has been sent for post-mortem.
The police have also informed the relatives of the deceased woman about the incident. Kotwali in-charge Inspector Vijay Kumar told that Mamta of Hardoi used to live with her husband Sunil Pal in a rented room in Garhi Chaukhandi village. Mamta and Sunil were married in the year 2016. Both of them also have a seven year old child. Both worked at different places. After a dispute with her husband, the woman left the house on Sunday night. His body was found hanging from a tree on Monday morning.
A crowd gathered at the spot. A video of this has also been circulated on the internet media in which the woman’s body is seen hanging from a tree. Police are also talking about interrogating the deceased’s husband in this case. Police are suspecting the woman to commit suicide due to a family dispute. Preliminary investigation has revealed that there was a dispute between the husband and wife over some issue. Kotwali in-charge says that no complaint has been received in the matter yet. If a complaint is received, action will be taken after investigation.
