We stand with you today and always.’ Congratulating Australia, he wrote, ‘Congratulations to Australia on a spectacular victory in the World Cup! Their performance throughout the tournament was commendable which ended with a resounding victory. Congratulations to Travis Head on his remarkable performance today.
PM himself had given the trophy
Narendra Modi gave the World Cup trophy to Australian captain Pat Cummins. The Prime Minister reached the stadium just before the end of the match. He watched the match sitting among the spectators. Australia’s Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles was also with him.
