The district court of Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh has sentenced the murdered wife to life imprisonment. Along with this, a fine of Rs 25 thousand has also been imposed on this woman. According to the case diary, the accused woman was white, but her husband was black. She hated her husband because of this. For this reason, on April 15, 2019, she sprinkled petrol on her husband while he was sleeping and set him on fire. The brother of the deceased had lodged a police report in this regard.
Now, after hearing all the parties and looking at the evidence, the court has declared the accused woman guilty and sentenced her to life imprisonment. The matter pertains to village Bichaita Qazi in Kudhfatehgarh police station area of Sambhal district. Harveer Singh, living in this village, had given a complaint to the police. It was told that his sister-in-law Premashree had burnt his elder brother Satyaveer to death. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and investigated the matter and arrested Premshree.
When the accused woman was interrogated in the police station, the police were also surprised. According to the case diary, this woman had told that she was white, but her husband was black. Because of this she hated her husband. Due to this hatred, one day when her husband was sleeping covered with a blanket, she secretly sprinkled petrol on him and set him on fire. On getting information, the people of the nearby neighborhood took him to the hospital, where he died during treatment.
Complainant Harveer told that at the time of the incident he had gone to the fields with his father. Since his brother was sleeping at home, he asked him to bring tea after some time. On the other hand, when his brother did not bring tea for a long time, he became suspicious and came to know about the incident after coming home. Assistant District Government Advocate Hariom Prakash alias Harish Saini said that all the evidence and witnesses related to the incident were presented in the court. On the basis of which the court has declared Premshree guilty and announced the punishment.
