A dispute broke out between two parties while taking the idol for immersion in the main market of Srinagar police station in Mahoba. The matter gained momentum as the other party was from another community. As soon as the information was received, people of the Hindu organization created a ruckus in the police station to stop the immersion of the idol and demanded action.
In fact, an altercation broke out when the gulal flying during idol immersion in the main market fell on a person from another community. During the conversation, things got so bad that a fight broke out between the two parties.
Accused of throwing broom and garbage
It is alleged that brooms and garbage were thrown on the statue by other communities. This created a situation of tension in the town. While stopping the idol immersion, the officials of the Hindu organization reached the spot and surrounded the police station and demanded action against the anarchists.
Idol immersion journey begins peacefully
As soon as information about this matter came, senior officials reached the spot and pacified the matter. SP Mahoba Aparna Gupta said that at present, on the basis of the complaint, the police have registered a case and arrested three accused. After the action, the idol immersion yatra was started peacefully.
Heavy police force deployed in the town
Let us tell you that as soon as information about the uproar was received, top officials of the district reached the spot with heavy police force. Here Hindu organizations were pacified by assuring them of action against the accused. Superintendent of Police Satyam has given instructions for action. SP said that action is being taken in the entire matter on the basis of the complaint. Three accused are in police custody. At present, heavy police force has also been deployed in the town as a precautionary measure.
