Lucknow. After the incidents of murder in Deoria and Sultanpur over land related disputes, the government has taken a serious stance on them. A special campaign of 60 days will be conducted in the state to resolve the pending cases and land related disputes in various revenue courts of the state. These include cases of undisputed inheritance, measurement, transfer, mutual partition and land disputes, apart from IGRS and Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas and complaints received at various levels.
90 day deadline set
If there is any delay in disposal, then action will be taken against the concerned officer as per rules and he will be punished. During the campaign, instructions have been given to resolve land border related disputes within a maximum of three months.
A maximum time limit of 45 days has been fixed for the cases of succession and undisputed inheritance and a maximum of 90 days for the disposal of disputed cases of transfer of name. It has been asked to settle the disputes related to division of land holdings within a maximum of six months.
In no case will it take more time than the prescribed period for disposal. Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra has issued a government order in this regard after holding video conferencing with all Divisional Commissioners, District Magistrates and SSP/SP on Thursday. According to the government order, Divisional Commissioner and District Magistrate will prepare an action plan at their level and conduct special campaigns and ensure timely disposal of revenue promises.
The District Magistrate will have to review the disposal of all the court and IGRS cases in all the districts daily. If any officer is negligent in this, he will have to be punished. It has been said in the government order that on September 16, the Chief Minister had reviewed the Revenue Department up to the tehsil level in which he had directed to immediately dispose of the pending cases and cases.
Despite this, progress has not been made as expected in disposal of revenue cases. It has also been said in the government order that revenue cases should be resolved on all five days of the week. If police force is required in metering matters, that too should be taken. The police administration will provide necessary support for this.
All Divisional Commissioners will have to review the progress of the campaign every Monday and Thursday. The Chief Secretary himself will review this campaign every Tuesday through video conferencing. The progress of disposal should be reviewed daily on the RCCMS portal of the Revenue Department.
