8 people have died in a road accident that occurred at 7 am on Wednesday in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. During the rescue operation, people found a 3-year-old child alive. The accident occurred due to a head-on collision between a car and a truck. The family of the accident victim had come from Pilibhit to visit. The police have taken the dead bodies into custody and taken them to the hospital. The injured child has also been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed deep grief over the road accident.
People were going back home after having darshan
According to the information received, Ertiga car and truck collided in Karkhiyaanv of Phulpur police station. All the 8 people who died were residents of Pilibhit, who had come to Varanasi for darshan. While returning, he met with an accident on the Varanasi-Jaunpur highway. The deceased were identified as Vipin Yadav and his mother Ganga Yadav, residents of Rudrapur village under Puranpur police station of Pilibhit. Mahendra Verma of Rudrapur and his wife Chandrakali also lost their lives in the accident. Rajendra Yadav, resident of Dharamgadpur, Puranpur has also died. 3 are yet to be identified.
Chief Minister Yogi expressed condolences by tweeting
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wrote a tweet on his official social media account condoling the road accident. In this he prayed for peace of the souls who lost their lives in the accident. Expressed condolences to the bereaved family. Instructions were also given to provide the best treatment to the injured child.
