Lucknow. Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) agent of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI, Gonda resident Mu. Based on the information received from Raees, another active accomplice Mukim Siddiqui alias Arshad has been arrested.
Ten days police remand approved
According to ATS officials, Mukim, a resident of Dinpurwa village under Tarabganj police station area of Gonda, was arrested from Lucknow on Monday. The ATS produced Mukim in the special court on Tuesday. On the application of ATS, the court has granted police remand of Mukim for ten days. Now he will be questioned about other youths associated with the ISI network.
Gonda’s Rais was arrested on July 16
ATS resident of Tarabganj area of Gonda, Mu. Raees was arrested on 16 July. On the basis of his interrogation, two of his accomplices Armaan and Salman were arrested from Mumbai. During interrogation of Raees, it was revealed that he had met Armaan in Mumbai. It was Armaan who instigated him for anti-national activities and he was put in touch with the ISI handler. At the same time, Rais’s accomplice Salman provided him photos and videos of Jhansi Railway Station and Babina Military Cantonment, which were sent to ISI handlers. In the investigation being done in this episode, the role of Raees’s active accomplice Mukim also came to the fore.
Mukim also works for ISI
ATS says Mukim was also working for ISI. In further questioning, more facts related to his activism will come to the fore. ATS will also conduct forensic examination of Mukim’s mobile phone. Some other youths who were in contact with him are also being investigated. Initial interrogation of Raees has revealed that he was instigated for anti-national activities by talking about atrocities on Muslims in India.
Raees had also given Rs 5,000 to Mukim and sent him for espionage in Jhansi station and Babina Cantt area, claiming to get him a job in Rajasthan. Mukim had sent many photos and videos of the Cantt area to Rais. He also made a map. The talk of Mukim going to Mumbai and Pune has also come to the fore.
