Jhulan Goswami and two England players join MCC World Cricket Committee
In fact, former English batsman Mike Gatting, chairman of the MCC World Cricket Committee, welcomed Jhulan Goswami, Heather and Oen, saying,
“We are very excited to welcome Jhulan, Heather and Morgan to the World Cricket Committee. All these three players have played international cricket at the highest level and have always been at the top there. His cricketing knowledge will greatly benefit our cricket committee.
Along with this, he further said that it is necessary that the representation and participation of women in the committee is increasing. Due to this, the thinking of women’s cricket is also developing. With Jhulan, Heather, Suzy and Connor bringing their respective experiences and perspectives, the committee will take women’s cricket to a different height.
Please tell that Jhulan is a former cricketer of the Indian women’s team, who retired from international cricket last year. He played his last ODI against England at Lord’s, where he was given a grand farewell. Jhulan took a total of 300 wickets in white ball cricket and 44 wickets in 12 Test matches. Jhulan was one of the fastest bowlers of the Indian women’s team. This year he was also made an Honorary Life Member of the MCC.
On the other hand, if we talk about Knight, who won the ICC Women’s World Cup at Lord’s only a year after taking charge of the team from the year 2016 and playing the role. The all-rounder has been one of the greats of the women’s game in England, having scored over 5,000 international runs in white-ball cricket, scoring 705 runs in her 10 Test appearances.
In addition, Morgan is the highest run scorer for England in ODI cricket with only 7,000 runs. He captained England brilliantly in both ODI and T20 cricket.
