Rae Bareli: A case of hurting religious sentiments has been registered against SP National General Secretary Swami Prasad Maurya at the city police station. Marut Tripathi, general secretary of Hindu Yuva Vahini, gave a complaint on Tuesday citing a viral video on the internet media. CO City informed that the investigation of the case has been started.
On Monday, Swami Prasad organized a public meeting at Charuhar Jiyayak in Unchahar, in which party chief Akhilesh Yadav also attended. He raised unlimited slogans from the stage in front of Akhilesh, the video of which went viral on the internet media on Tuesday. In the video, he is saying that Mulayam Kanshi Ram met, flew away in the air…. Not only this, Swami is also seen making the people present in the meeting repeat this unlimited slogan.
CO Vandana Singh told that the city Kotwali police is investigating the case registered against Swami Prasad Maurya. Apart from the video, instructions have been given to the investigator to collect other necessary evidence related to the case.
