New Delhi. Bollywood celebrities recently met Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath. It featured many actors including Sunil Shetty, Subhash Ghai, Jackie Shroff, Sonu Nigam and Boney Kapoor. CM Yogi had a meeting with these celebs regarding the Film City being built in Noida. Meanwhile, Sunil Shetty demanded removal of Boycott Bollywood trend running on social media, he said that we are suffering a lot due to this.
Boycott trend should end
Sunil Shetty told the CM that 99 percent of Bollywood people do not take drugs and work hard to entertain people. This kind of boycott trend causes us a lot of loss. So it is necessary that the trend like #BoycottBollywood should be removed. By doing this, the image of Bollywood also gets tarnished.

During this meeting, Sunil Shetty mentioned about the films which have faced this Boycott Bollywood trend. Recently, there is a huge protest against Shah Rukh Khan’s film Pathan in the country. Many theaters are also being vandalized regarding this. The whole controversy started when Deepika Padukone gave a very bold pose wearing a saffron colored bikini on the song Besharam Rang. People called it hurtful to religious sentiments.
These films flopped due to Boycott
Let us remind you that in the last year, many films fell prey to this boycott trend. Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar suffered the most. Aamir’s ‘Lal Singh Chadha’ flopped badly in theaters, while Akshay Kumar’s 4 films did not see the face of the hit. Many films including Liger and ‘Thank God’ suffered due to this trend.
CM Yogi reached Mumbai
CM Yogi Adityanath, who was in Mumbai, interacted with several Bollywood celebrities. The Chief Minister is on a two-day visit to Mumbai to promote Uttar Pradesh as ‘India’s most film-friendly state’. Apart from Sunil Shetty, other celebrities including Ravi Kishan, Jackie Bhagnani, Jackie Shroff, Rajpal Yadav, Sonu Nigam along with Boney Kapoor and Subhash Ghai attended the meeting.
