Greedy husband beat his wife to death for dowry in Unnao. The accused husband killed her by beating her with an iron blow. In fact, even after 7 years of marriage, the husband and other in-laws were demanding money from the parents. Due to non-payment of money, there used to be a dispute between husband and wife every day. And then today the argument and fight increased so much that the wife died in the beating. After the death of the wife, the husband fled along with the family with the children.
At the same time, the local people informed about this to the people of the maternal side. The girl’s father, who reached the spot, has given a written complaint against her husband and in-laws in Makhi police station and demanded registration of a case. At the same time, the police is investigating the incident.
The accused husband was demanding dowry of Rs 3 lakh
Santosh Kumar, a resident of Bastikheda village, married his twenty-six-year-old daughter Rinki to Rajkumar, a resident of Sarai Thok village under Makhi police station area, on 16 April 2015. Seeing all the things in dowry, I bid farewell with great happiness. But the in-laws were not satisfied with the dowry given. After a few days, Rajkumar was demanding his wife Rinki to bring ₹ 300000 from her maternal home. And used to taunt every day.
Accused husband absconded with family members
Like everyday, once again there was an argument between the two. Then husband Rajkumar started hitting his wife Rinki with a blowtorch, which caused her death. After the death, all the in-laws including the husband went missing with son Chahat (5), daughter Milan (3) and one and a half year old Golu among the children of the deceased Rinki.
The police did not listen to the father’s complaint
The father alleges that since the marriage, the husband and other in-laws kept demanding dowry of Rs.3 lakh. When the demand was not fulfilled, they used to beat and torture the daughter. Six months ago, a complaint letter was given against the in-laws in the police station. But the spirits were high because no action was taken from the police.
SP assured of action
On the information of the incident, SP Siddharth Shankar Meena and CO Safipur Maya Rai conducted an investigation on the spot. Enraged by the incident, the people of the maternal side are adamant on demanding action and are not allowing the dead body to be lifted. After the assurance of action, the family calmed down and the police took the body into custody and sent it for postmortem.
