Gorakhpur. Priyanka Nayak, the then secretary of Jangaldhushan village of Chargaon block, was arrested by the Pipraich police from Rapti Nagar on Thursday. Presenting in the court, the police has sent him to jail. A case was registered against the secretary for embezzlement of Rs 5 lakh 90 thousand at Prime Minister’s residence. The news agency, by running a campaign, prominently published the forgery committed by the Secretary under the title, PM Awas given to the ineligible in the name of eligible. After which the investigation was set up.

Station in-charge Suraj Singh said that on September 21, 2022, on the instructions of the higher officials, secretary Vakil Kumar had filed a case against Priyanka Nayak by giving a complaint. Since then he was being searched. Information was received on Thursday that he is present at his sister’s Ghara Rapti Nagar residence. After information, he was arrested from the spot.
ADO Panchayat had investigated
Please tell here that Ramkishun Chauhan, a resident of Jangaldhushan, had complained to the administration against the accused secretary. After this the ADO Panchayat got the complaint investigated. After getting the case correct in the investigation, it was found that the accused secretary had allotted PM residence to five ineligible people. Along with that money was also sent to his account. After the investigation report of the ADO Panchayat, the Project Director Rural Development Agency had issued a notice to Secretary Priyanka Nayaka seeking her reply. On non-response, the officials had directed BDO Chargawan Satyaprakash Singh to file a case.
Allotment of 48 municipal shops may be canceled
Preparations are on to cancel the allotment of 48 municipal shops. These shops are such that neither they are being operated nor the dues are being collected. The Municipal Commissioner has asked for a list of such shops. Their allotment will be canceled and re-auctioned. In the meeting organized on Thursday in the Municipal Corporation and after it, it was told that 24 on Asuran to Pipraich road, three at Hadhwa Gate, 10 at Asuran Shopping Complex, eight at Mohaddipur Charfatak, one at Jalkal Power Sub Station South, one at Durgabari Fish Sales Center. Three shops are closed in Jubilee Cinema Road, one in Reeds Saheb Dharamshala, one in Laldiggi, one in Maheva Basement. Lakhs of rupees are outstanding on these shops.
The Municipal Commissioner directed that all defaulters should be kept in three categories. List of big defaulters first, small ones on the second number and general defaulters on the third number should be made. Additional Municipal Commissioner Durgesh Mishra, Deputy Municipal Commissioner Sanjay Shukla etc were present in the meeting.
