Lok Sabha by-election lucky for Dimple Yadav
The Lok Sabha by-elections have proved to be very lucky for Samajwadi Party President Dimple Yadav. Dimple contested the first Lok Sabha election in 2009 from Firozabad. In which he was defeated by Raj Babbar of Congress. After this, when Akhilesh Yadav left the Kannauj Lok Sabha seat in the year 2012, Dimple Yadav became the Lok Sabha member unopposed in the by-election. The BJP and the Congress did not field their own candidates. In the year 2019, Dimple, who contested the Lok Sabha elections from Kannauj as a joint candidate of Samajwadi Party and BSP, was defeated by Subrata Pathak of BJP.
Dimple candidate declared in the midst of discussion of Aparna Yadav’s name
In the midst of the discussion of the name of the candidate for the Mainpuri Lok Sabha by-election of Mulayam Singh Yadav’s younger daughter-in-law, Aparna Yadav, the Samajwadi Party has declared his elder daughter-in-law Dimple Yadav as its candidate. Samajwadi Party Uttar Pradesh President Naresh Uttam Patel today declared Dimple Yadav as the party’s candidate for the Mainpuri Lok Sabha by-election. Notification for Mainpuri Lok Sabha by-election has been issued today and Samajwadi Party has declared its candidate. The last date for nomination in this election is November 17.
The challenge of saving Netaji’s stronghold on the shoulders of the elder daughter-in-law
Mainpuri is considered the stronghold of the country’s famous leader Mulayam Singh Yadav. It is because of Netaji’s Pratap that the Samajwadi Party has waved its flag here since the last nine Lok Sabha elections. Mulayam Singh Yadav contested from Mainpuri for a long time and supported the candidates in between. This time the responsibility of saving his stronghold in the by-election is on the shoulders of elder daughter-in-law Dimple Yadav. By deciding Dimple Yadav as the candidate, the Samajwadi Party has in a way prepared to hand over her legacy to the elder daughter-in-law.
Former MP Dimple Yadav, wife of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, will be the party’s candidate for the Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat, vacant after the death of Samajwadi Party founder and patron Mulayam Singh Yadav. Samajwadi Party put an end to all speculation by declaring former Kannauj MP Dimple Yadav as its candidate from Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat. The nomination process for Mainpuri Lok Sabha by-election and Muzaffarnagar’s Khatauli assembly by-election will begin from today.
The notification for the by-election to Khatauli assembly seat, which fell vacant after the death of Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav, as well as the cancellation of membership of BJP MLA Vikram Singh Saini, was issued on Thursday. Nominations for both the seats will be held till November 17. Voting will be held on December 5 and counting of votes will take place on December 8.
