Lucknow. On Tuesday on his appeal in the case of last hearing against Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni in the Central Government regarding Prabhat Gupta murder case of student leader Prabhat Gupta about 22 years ago of Lakhimpur Kheri. The hearing has also been adjourned. In the Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court, an appeal has been made on behalf of Ajay Mishra Teni to transfer the case to the main bench i.e. Allahabad High Court.

The hearing on the appeal of the government against Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni in the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court was adjourned on Tuesday. The counsel for Minister Ajay Mishra Teni told the court that his special leave petition regarding transfer of the present appeal could be heard within four weeks. Therefore, advance date should be given in the matter. This was opposed by the plaintiff side of the case.
Advance date fixed October 17
A division bench of Justice Ramesh Sinha and Justice Renu Agrawal, while fixing the advance date of October 17 in the matter, clarified that the hearing on the next date will not be postponed on the ground of mere pendency of the SLP.
During the hearing in Lucknow today, a situation of heated argument also arose between the minister and the advocates of the plaintiff.
Student leader Prabhat Gupta was murdered 22 years ago
It is worth mentioning that in the case of murder of student leader Prabhat Gupta in Lakhimpur Kheri about 22 years ago, along with the Minister of State for Home Ajay Kumar Mishra alias Teni in the Central Government, four others were accused. 22 years ago in Lakhimpur Kheri, student leader Prabhat Gupta was shot dead. In this murder case of murder was registered against four people including Ajay Kumar Mishra Teni. In this too, Prabhat’s father had made serious allegations against Ajay Mishra Teni.
