The administration and police have tightened the noose on the property of former SP district general secretary Suresh Pal, who was declared a land mafia in selling government land by indulging in gangstered activities. On the instructions of the DM, the SDM and the CO along with the Gangaghat Police have seized the land located on Rajdhani Marg and pasted the notice.
Suresh Pal, a resident of Subhash Nagar of Shuklaganj, former general secretary of SP, has 22 cases registered against him in serious sections including cheating, attempt to murder, assault, rebellion. In which 16 cases are registered in Chakeri police station of Kanpur. Action was taken under the Land Mafia Act at Gangaghat Kotwali for selling and capturing government land.
Apart from this, gangster was also imposed. The police arrested him and sent him to jail. The administration and police started marking the lands occupied by him.
On Friday, on the instructions of District Magistrate Apoorva Dubey, SDM Sadar Ankit Shukla and CO City Ashutosh Kumar, along with the police force, seized the land worth 1.10 crores occupied by them on Rajdhani Marg and pasted the notice and got the government board installed there. It has been written in the board that buying and selling this property is a legal offense.
Gangaghat Kotwali in-charge Akhilesh Chandra Pandey told that gangster action was taken against the land mafia in Kotwali. Under this, the property of the accused has been confiscated under section 14(1).
