Lucknow. Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday made a big allegation on the Election Commission, saying that due to the commission’s dishonesty, the SP lost the assembly elections and Rampur and Azamgarh Lok Sabha by-elections.
Akhilesh Yadav said that now there is no fair institution left in the country. By pressurizing these institutions, the government is getting the desired work done. The SP chief said that if the commission had acted honestly, the results would have been different.
SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav said in an interview to a news agency on Thursday that his party had fought the last assembly elections of the state with an appeal to save democracy, but the result is in front of everyone. The Election Commission has removed the names of a large number of voters from the voter list.
SP workers were not allowed to cast their votes in Rampur Lok Sabha by-election, while red cards were issued to SP workers in Azamgarh. Was the Election Commission sleeping? He did not pay heed to our complaints.
Terming the political change in Bihar as a positive sign, Akhilesh Yadav expressed hope that a strong alternative would be ready against the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He claimed that in Uttar Pradesh too, the BJP would get a setback like Bihar. Here also BJP allies are not happy with him and in future they will break ties with this ruling party.
SP chief Akhilesh Yadav said that the formation of a grand alliance government with Rashtriya Janata Dal, Congress and many other parties in Bihar by breaking ties with the BJP is a positive sign. Akhilesh claimed that even the allies of BJP in the state were not happy with him. What are allies getting after all? One day they will all leave him.
Akhilesh alleged that the figures related to the second dose of Corona vaccine are fake. There are no medicines and doctors in the hospitals. People are not getting treatment. Brokers are roaming the state medical university, ministers and officials are doing arbitrariness, while Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is busy in review meetings.
Asked about the role of the SP in creating an alternative to the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Akhilesh said Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Nationalist Congress Party’s Sharad Pawar are busy working out alternatives.
He said that at this time our focus is on strengthening the party in the state. The national convention of SP will be held this year. Presently the membership drive of the party is going on and it is getting good support from the public.
