Moradabad. Fake Currency News: If you are taking any goods in the market, then be careful. Fake notes have spread on a large scale in the Moradabad market. The police have arrested three people involved in the fake currency business. These people were preparing to consume fake notes in the market through laborers.
Doctor used to supply fake notes
The Majhola police station arrested three accused with fake notes. Fake notes of one lakh rupees were found from the arrested accused. The accused told that Kundarki’s Dr. Nafees used to supply fake notes to them. He used to give twice the fake note in lieu of the original note.
used to hunt small shopkeepers
The arrested accused used to try to consume these notes in small shops through laborers in the market. The police registered a case against the three accused and sent them to jail. However, the leader of this gang, Dr Nafees, is still out of the grip of the police. Giving information in the Police Line Auditorium, SSP Hemant Kutiyal said that three accused of consuming fake notes in the market have been arrested by the Majhola police.
Naushad used to implicate laborers for work
For the past several days, a police team was engaged to nab these accused. Naushad Khan, a resident of Mohalla Chakmen of Rampur district police station Swar, was doing the work of consuming fake notes in the market. It used to entrap the laborers in its trap, after which they used to give fake notes twice by taking genuine notes from them.
After the information of the informer, a team was formed under the leadership of Jayantipur outpost in-charge Rashid Ali to nab the accused. Along with Naushad, the accused in the trap laid by the police, Rahis resident Khalal Wali Masjid police station Katghar district Moradabad and Muhammad Haseeb resident of Kamalpur police station Kundarki district Moradabad were caught.
Found a pack of 500, 200, 100 rupees
One pack of five hundred notes, two bundles of hundred notes, one pack of two hundred notes were recovered from the accused. On investigation it was found that all the notes are fake. During interrogation, the accused Naushad told that he has a clothes shop. He had come to Moradabad last year for a wedding ceremony.
During this time, he met Dr. Nafees resident of Kamalpur police station Kundarki. During that time Nafees informed him about giving double fake notes instead of real notes. After which he started working together with her. The police registered a case against the three accused and sent them to jail. Along with this, raids are being conducted to nab the kingpin of this gang, Dr. Nafees.
Police caught the accused as a customer
For the last 15 days, the police team had gathered to nab the accused. During this, after getting information from the informer, Jayantipur outpost in-charge Rashid Ali himself called the accused as a customer. Fake notes of Rs 2 lakh were demanded from the accused. But he agreed to pay one lakh rupees.
In which Naushad had brought 50 thousand rupees, while Rahis had brought 30 thousand rupees and Muhammad Haseeb 20 thousand rupees. The three accused were called in the slum of Jayantipur. During this, the police laid siege and caught the three accused.
Nafees has been caught for the second time
Dr. Nafees, resident of Kamalpur village of Kundarki, is the biggest dealer of fake notes. He has been caught with counterfeit notes twice in the last five years. But after coming out of jail, he starts old business. In the year 2018, Noida Police first arrested him with a fake note and sent him to jail.
After this, on 6 February 2021, Amroha police arrested him with a fake note of seven lakh rupees. In the year 2018, a case of gang rape was also registered against Nafees at Kundarki police station. According to the police, the tenth pass Nafees is known by the people in the village as a doctor. He used to operate a pathlab in the Majhola police station area in the year 2017. However, he had closed the pathlab after he was caught with a fake note in Noida.
Rampur’s bank slip found in Gaddi
The slip of The New Cooperative Bank of Rampur district has been found in the packet of fake notes. The police have expressed the apprehension that the accused may have been given bank slips to give confidence to the customer. But in this case, the police will also interrogate the officers of the bank concerned.
CO Civil Lines Ashutosh Tiwari said that during interrogation, the accused told that the same paper used in Indian currency has been used to make these notes. In this regard, the police has sent a report to the central investigative agencies.
25 thousand reward declared on absconding accused
SSP Hemant Kutiyal said that a team of police and SOG has been constituted to arrest the absconding accused Dr Nafees. Along with this, a reward of Rs 25,000 is also being announced for catching him. With the arrest of the accused, the entire chain of counterfeit notes will be traced.
