Hathras. An uncontrolled dumper trampled the Kanwariyas carrying Ganga water from Haridwar at 2:30 pm on the Agra-Aligarh highway near Sadabad. In this, five Kanwariyas died on the spot. Two were referred to Agra in critical condition. Where another died during treatment. Hathras DM Ramesh Ranjan announced a help of one lakh rupees each to the next of kin of the deceased.
The Kanwariyas were residents of Gwalior.
The incident happened at 2.30 pm. A group of kanwariyas of Gwalior were carrying Gangajal from Haridwar. Four kilometers before Sadabad, the uncontrolled dumper coming from behind went near Badar intersection, trampling the Kanwariyas. After the accident, the driver fled from the spot with the dumper. After the incident, there was screaming at the spot.
The collision was so fierce that five Kanwariyas died on the spot. Among the dead are 25-year-old Ranveer, 30-year-old Jabar Singh, 40-year-old Naresh Pal, 30-year-old Manoj and 40-year-old Ramesh Pal residents of Banghikhurd police station Utila district Gwalior. Vikas and Abhishek were sent to Agra for treatment. Where during treatment, 28-year-old Vikas died during treatment in Agra. Now the death toll has gone up to six. Hathras DM Ramesh Ranjan announced Rs 1 lakh each to the next of kin of the deceased.
