In the midst of growing corona infection, all health centers in Punjab will now be vaccinated with the corona vaccine. Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu has instructed the departmental officers to make preparations. The Health Minister has appealed to the people of Punjab to vaccinate Kovid. Vaccination facility will be available at all government health centers from April 1 without any condition for all persons above 45 years of age.
Health Minister Sidhu said that about seven lakh population has been vaccinated so far. All civil surgeons have been instructed to implement the guidelines at the earliest, so that the process of vaccination can be expedited in such centers and more and more eligible persons can be covered under the campaign. According to experts, the new strain of Kovid-19 virus is fast spreading and acute, so getting vaccinated is the moral responsibility of all.
He said that now anyone can easily get vaccination facility near their place of residence, as all government health centers have been instructed to vaccinate. As of 27 March, a total of 2,96,593 health care and frontline workers in Punjab have been given the first dose of vaccine and 98,496 as second dose. A total of 3,92,415 persons over 60 years of age and over 45 years of age suffering from other diseases have been vaccinated.

Corona vaccine is completely free. For private hospitals, the government has fixed a maximum fee of Rs 250 for each dose of the vaccine. Any citizen can register for vaccination on selfregistration.cowin.gov.in or Arogya Setu App. He appealed to the people to get vaccinated for the safety of Punjab as vaccination is the most effective weapon to fight this deadly virus.
