A shameful incident has come to light in the religious city of Vrindavan where an attempt was made to rape the five-year-old daughter of a female devotee who had come to eat at a restaurant. This incident not only shook the victim’s family, but there is an atmosphere of anger in the entire area. The incident happened when a family from Udaipur decided to stop for dinner at a famous restaurant in Vrindavan. While eating, the innocent girl of the family went to the washroom but did not come out for a long time. When the family members reached there after getting worried, the washroom was locked from inside.
After knocking the door several times, when the door was opened, the girl was found in a naked state. Also, Dharmendra, a youth working in the restaurant, who is a resident of Jamunapar police station area, was found hiding there. The family immediately called the police by calling 112. The police reached the spot, arrested the accused and took him to the police station. The family says that the restaurant manager initially ignored their words, so they had to call the police.
Case registered against the accused
Seeing the seriousness of the incident, SP City Arvind Kumar, CO City Praveen Malik, CO Sadar Sandeep Kumar and Vrindavan Kotwali in-charge Prashant Kapil reached the spot and started investigation. SP City Arvind Kumar said that a case has been registered against the accused under section 65(2) of the Indian Justice Code 2023 and section 5M, 6 of the POCSO Act. Interrogation is going on and the whole matter is being investigated.
What did the hotel manager say?
Here the restaurant owner said that as soon as he came to know about this incident, he immediately informed the police and handed over the accused employee to the police. He said that if Dharmendra is found guilty then strict action should be taken against him.
