Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in the assembly on the fourth day of the budget session of the legislature that UP is rapidly moving towards becoming the largest economy of the country. When his government came, the economy of the state was Rs 12 lakh crore, which will become Rs 27.50 lakh crore by the end of this financial year. He said that by the year 2029, the economy of the state will become one trillion dollars. CM answered the question of SP SP member Dr. Ragini Sonkar had asked what action plan has the government made to create a trillion dollar economy? Taking a dig at the opposition, the Chief Minister said that those who say that India cannot become a developed nation, they also keep raising questions on the economic growth of Uttar Pradesh. Today India is moving ahead as a big economy of the world. It may be that some people are not feeling good because those who have their own personal agenda will not consider the development of the country to be good, but the truth is that the country’s economy has reached the fifth position in the world today. India will become a five trillion dollar economy by the year 2027. He said that I want to assure that the state will become a one trillion dollar economy in the year 2029.
10 major sectors were identified
The Chief Minister said that his government has identified 10 major sectors to give impetus to the economy. These sectors include industrial development, agriculture, social security, urban development, revenue collection, education, health, tourism and service sector. Each sector is reviewed monthly and quarterly review is done at my own level.
In the Global Investors Summit held in the year 2023, investment proposals worth Rs 40 lakh crore were received, out of which investment of Rs 15 lakh crore has been landed. Many industries have also started production. 60 lakh youth are likely to get employment from this investment.
The Chief Minister said that today UP has become the state running the maximum number of MSME units in the country. This sector had fallen into a bad state due to the neglect of previous governments, but it was revived through the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme. This provided employment to more than two crore people.
