Applications have been made for allotment of country liquor, composite shop, model shop and retail shops of cannabis through e-lottery in Uttar Pradesh. Till today evening i.e. 20 February, 34378 applications have been received online. Processing fees of Rs 175.12 crore have also been received in these. Both registration and application can be done on the online portal till 27 February. Through e-lottery, the entire process will be completed on March 6 at the designated place under the chairmanship of the DM of the concerned district.
The UP government has earned more than Rs 175 crore from the application of liquor shops. To apply online, status certificate, character certificate, ITR, PAN card, Aadhar card, photo, affidavit, affidavit of nominee, letter from 1 January 2024 till date are required. The applicant applying must be a citizen of India and his age must be more than 21 years.
Registration and application till 27 February
Excise Commissioner Adarsh Singh said that as per the new Excise Policy 2025-26, registration for e-lottery of 27,308 country liquor, composite shops, model shops and retail shops of cannabis in UP started from February 14, 2025. Applications were also started along with registration from February 17. Both registration and application can be done on the online portal https://exciseelotteryup.upsdc.gov.in till 5 pm on February 27, 2025.
E-lottery on March 6
The Excise Commissioner said that the entire process of lottery is completely online and the facility has been provided for the applicant to submit all the documents and processing fees online. He told that any citizen of India who is above 21 years of age, who is not ineligible for any other reason, can apply. The e-lottery will be opened on March 6, 2025. He said that the licensees will be selected transparently through the online portal. The selected licensees will also have the option of renewal in the year 2026-27.
