The health condition of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh has worsened. He has been admitted to SGPGI, Lucknow since July 4. According to the information received on Thursday afternoon, the condition of former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh has worsened. He had to be put on ventilator support on Wednesday night. Doctors say that the lungs, heart, kidney, liver, brain and other organs of the former Chief Minister are not functioning properly.
He was not able to take oxygen from himself yesterday. On Tuesday night, doctors started giving oxygen by inserting a tube (mechanical ventilation) in his throat as his lungs were not getting oxygen. Despite this, his condition worsened on Wednesday night. After this he was shifted to ventilator.
Giving information about the health of the former Chief Minister, Dr. RK Dhiman, Director, SGPGI said that he has been taken on ventilator support in the ICU of Critical Care Medicine (CCM). A team of specialist doctors engaged in the treatment of the former Chief Minister inspected the ward on Thursday morning and took stock of his health. The doctors have described his condition as very critical.
A team of 12 specialist doctors is involved in the treatment of Kalyan Singh. These include specialized doctors in the departments of heart, kidney, diabetes, neuro, uro, gastro and critical care medicine. Recently, Kalyan Singh was put on a high pressure oxygen mask (non-invasive ventilation) due to shortness of breath. He was given oxygen with a mask in his mouth.
